Past Project: Ben Buchanan’s Mural
Whānau and Friends proudly supported the installation of a mural titled The Forest, Us, Ancestors, Tomorrow, created in collaboration with artist Ben Buchanan and funded by Creative NZ.
Spanning 27 metres along Elizabeth St, the mural reflects the rich history and diversity of our school community.
Featuring brightly coloured spheres and trees, each school year is represented by native spirit animals like the ruru and pepeketua.
Our 218 students contributed to the design, embedding their hopes, dreams, and cultural identity into the artwork. This vibrant piece is a testament to the creativity and spirit of our students and wider community.
Past Project: Taylor Swift: Trip of an ERA Raffle
In July 2024 the WAF held a raffle offering an unforgettable experience for one lucky winner: tickets to Taylor Swift's sold-out London show, along with flights, accommodation, and spending money. Dubbed "The Trip of an Era," this raffle was an overwhelming success, with tickets selling out in record time.
The funds raised will contribute towards much-needed upgrades to the school hall.
